Australian developer Exit-Reality’s CEO Danny Stefanic released their companies Virtual Reality 3D web browser plug in this week in Australia which is sure to set the net on fire.

The plug-in works with most major web browsers such as Internet Explorer and FireFox (yeah) and is a simple Plug-In style application. Once loaded, you have full access to every page on the net in beautiful 3D. It’s something that you have to see to believe.

No longer will you have to ponder about in 2d on web pages, through Exit-Reality, you can enter any website, or gaming website and view it through a 3D environment. Flickr becomes a virtual Art Gallery to wander through. While YouTube become a virtual cinema where you can view any YouTube video either by yourself, or any friends you might invite along to the cinema.

Social pages become so huge it’s mind boggling. Each social network page opens up as a 3D room that you can design with objects and styles that will allow you to create your own virtual world for your visitors, as well as visiting other social network pages in 3D.

Australian developers are at the forefront of technology in many areas, but this one just jumped ahead by a few years quietly in the background. No big fuss or fanfare or pre-launch notices, just a nice little launch to let people know it’s here.

Download the plug-in now and check it out for yourself. I’m sure that you’ll be pleasantly surprised at just how brilliant this is, and it’s hard to explain how it will open up social networks and web-based gaming, the mind just boggles at the shear possibilities. Unfortunately, the Plug-In is only available for windows based PC’s at the moment, but I’m sure a Mac version is forthcoming, well one would hope so.
