Ultimate Forza 2 Cockpit view

Yes, The Ultimate Forza 2 experience . . .

A very expensive experience, but one that would definitely be out of this world

xboxoz360_icon581.png I spotted this last week, and was going to post it up, but, as usual, got caught up in some solid Solo Forza 2 action, working at pipping off some of the times on my FriendsList on the Career Leaderboard.

When I was much younger, I used to love playing arcade racers with my son. Sega Rally, Daytona, and the flight Games cabinets that enclosed you to give you that immersed feeling . . some even had motion tracking so that the cabinets moved according to your actions. However, I really took a shinning to the sim style set ups many PC gamers had, and only wished I could perhaps one day have a similar experience with the console of my choice.

Well, if money was no obstacle, and you had the room to space, then the VRX MACH 4 from Virtual Racing X.com is a definite must for any would-be-racer. Mind you, it’s going to set you back a tidy little sum . . . so much so, they don’t even bother advertizing the price.

It’s a bit like walking into a Porsche’ dealership and worrying how much it’s going to cost. You simply don’t go in unless you can afford it . . . Even their lower end models, the Pro Series and the Custom VRX has a solid lineup of items built into them . . . here’s what the Ultimate machine has to offer . . . and it truly is something to behold.

  1. thats nice, how do they even do these? as in having the 3 angles of the same car? is it something to do with the 4 xboxes?

  2. You need a 360 for running the game on each screen, and they have 4 because they also have a rear-view running off a Zune I believe or a small 7″ screen.

The 360’s are then set to play a segment, either right, middle and left which are modes available in the game . . .

I was looking at this today as a possibility or alternative . .

The 3 screens can be VERY immersive . . .and does give you a real sense of “driving” the cars.

  3. This type of setup looks amazing, well at least your neck would get a work out :P

But seriously, the Matrox product looks intriguing, although may only be for PC due to the required software of it… But a similar product for the 360 must be possible…

  4. There’s also this, which IS compatible with all the consoles and looks amazing . . . http://www.headplay.com/ Match this with a great set of 5.1 surround headphones . .and you’ll be IN the GAME as much as you possibly be . . .
